deb penk

As a Wisconsin born “Polish Princess”, art became a natural escape for this now Wyoming artist. “Contemporary Graphic Realism — with a twist” was an ideal artistic style for Penk, who exploits the colorful side of personality and life.

With an “I’ll try anything once” attitude, Penk often does. Her vibrant colors as well as colorful personalities come in all ages, gender and lifestyles. People any place or any time are unsafe from the light hearted exposure of Penk’s “fun stuff”.

Pop Art Americana describes Penk’s subject matter as well as influence. A special blending of Andy Warhol with Norman Rockwell creates her sometimes satirical contemporary images. Whether one “gets it” or not isn’t important. Enjoying life and it’s personalities is the soul of Penk’s art.

Paul Cezanne stated, “Right now a moment of time is fleeting by!  Capture its’ reality in paint.”  Following Cezanne’s credo, Deb Penk considers her style to be ‘Contemporary Graphic Realism’ – with a twist!  Ms. Penk wittily exploits the colorful side of life and the personas that inhabit her universe.  She whimsically captures the essence of each character.  Penk’s paintings boldly expose vibrant hues as well as lively personalities representing all ages, genders and lifestyles.  A consummate attention to detail is paramount for Ms. Penk, as the gorgeous milieu surrounding her figures is not accidental but instead intentional, as they add to the allure and charisma to each story she tells.
